Updated Policies & Procedures Due to Covid-19

This is lengthy, but of utmost importance in my ability to operate safely and within the parameters of the governing boards of my profession.

By its very nature, massage and bodywork requires skin-to-skin contact. As we navigate life with new requirements and modify existing measures due to the coronavirus, please help me to support all of my clients by cooperating with some new requirements. My practice follows Practice Guidelines recommended by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), along with infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Maryland Department of Health, and the Howard County Government Covid response. You will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. I made these changes to help protect my clients and myself.

Appointment

• When you arrive at the office, I'll ask that you wait in your vehicle and text me to let me know you have arrived. Please wear a clean mask to your appointment and keep it on until your appointment has finished and you have exited the building. A limited supply of masks will be available for purchase. I will wear a mask for the duration of your appointment. Please leave all unnecessary items in your car: purse, jackets, etc.

• Once inside the suite, I will ask you to sanitize your hands with hand sanitizer.

• If you feel ill on the day of your session, there is no penalty for canceling your appointment. Massage is not advised if you have any symptoms of illness. However, I will be working with a reduced case load so please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel to allow other clients to be able to schedule an appointment.

• There will be ample time between appointments for me to clean and sanitize the office and allow surfaces to dry.

• PAYMENT: You may pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) online AHEAD of your appointment or by using the Venmo app @Mary-Trotter-3 or by using the Zelle app using mtrottermassage@gmail.com or 4106606062. Please have these accounts set up prior to arriving. Cash and checks are still accepted forms of payment. All transactions will take place inside my massage room.

I apologize for any inconvenience these policies and procedures may cause, however, there are many requirements I am mandated to follow. Any exposure to just one positive person will require me to close so please follow all recommended guidelines.
